Black and White Chocolate Mousse Recipe

  1. Prepare the White Chocolate Mousse:
    • Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler.
    • Separate 3 eggs. Beat the 3 egg whites until stiff peaks form.
    • Mix the 3 egg yolks with the melted white chocolate and add 2 tablespoons of sugar.
    • Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the chocolate mixture until well combined.
    • Divide the white chocolate mousse evenly into 6 ramekins or glasses.
    • Place the ramekins or glasses in the refrigerator.
  2. Prepare the Dark Chocolate Mousse:
    • Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler.
    • Separate the remaining 3 eggs. Beat the 3 egg whites until stiff peaks form.
    • Mix the 3 egg yolks with the melted dark chocolate and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar.
    • Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the chocolate mixture until well combined.
    • Layer the dark chocolate mousse on top of the white chocolate mousse in the ramekins or glasses.
    • Place the ramekins or glasses back in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.
  3. Serve:
    • Optional: Garnish with chocolate shavings, a dollop of whipped cream, or fresh berries before serving.
